CO2 Laser for Skin Renewal
With the CO2 laser, we precisely remove the outermost skin layers and simultaneously stimulate new collagen formation. This improves skin structure and smooths the surface.
The treatment is suitable for various skin changes, from fine lines to pronounced scars or pigment spots.
Visible results and a well-tolerated treatment require a specialist’s assessment and the selection of the appropriate intensity.

When is CO2 laser treatment beneficial?
Treatment is an option if the skin has lost structure, evenness, or firmness. Common reasons include scars, pigmentation shifts, fine wrinkles, or an overall uneven complexion. The CO2 laser can also be used in the lower eyelid area to tighten the skin and smooth out lines. Whether the treatment is beneficial depends on the current skin condition, the extent of the changes, and individual regeneration.

What results can realistically be achieved?
The CO2 laser can visibly smooth and even out the skin. Pores appear finer, scars can become shallower, and pigmentation shifts like age spots or benign moles can fade.
How pronounced the effect is depends on the initial situation. Fine lines and superficial pigmentations or keratinizations usually respond well to treatment, while deeper structures require more time or multiple sessions.
A realistic assessment is important: the CO2 laser can improve skin quality but does not replace surgical procedures.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about CO2 Laser Treatment
When do you advise against treatment with the CO2 laser?
Not every skin reacts the same. In the case of very dark skin, active skin inflammations, or certain pre-existing conditions and impaired wound healing, we may advise against treatment. The same applies to unrealistic expectations of the treatment result. We also take alternatives or combination treatments into account in the consultation in Zurich.
Is the CO2 laser suitable for treatment in the area of the lower eyelids?
This laser technology is very gentle on the tissue and can improve the overall skin structure. The tissue becomes firmer, tighter, and small wrinkles can be smoothed out if necessary. Depending on the findings, we also treat the rather sensitive area of the lower eyelids with the CO2 laser.
What downtime do I have to expect after a CO2 laser treatment?
The downtime and the extent of the side effects depend on the strength of the treatment. After more intensive treatments, healing can take several days to weeks. Redness, crusting, and scaling are part of the desired regeneration process.
How many sessions are necessary?
Sometimes a single session is enough. In the case of scars, sagging skin, wrinkles, or pronounced skin problems, further sessions may be useful. We will discuss the appropriate number with you individually, depending on the results of your skin analysis and the desired treatment results.
When will I see the result of the laser treatment?
The skin needs some time to rebuild itself. Therefore, initial improvements appear after about three to four weeks. Overall, the skin needs several weeks to months for collagen production and the associated skin development. A consequence of the increased collagen production is firmer, plumper, and smoother skin.
