Unlike hyaluronic fillers, Profhilo does not fill deep wrinkles or shape contours. After being introduced into the skin, the special hyaluronic acid spreads through the tissue, where it can improve skin hydration, elasticity, skin density and thus the entire tissue structure.

Treatment & support

What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a hyaluronic treatment with high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid.
Unlike a filler, the special hyaluronic acid is not used to shape areas of the face or to fill deep wrinkles such as frown lines, but rather to improve skin quality.
Which skin responds particularly well to Profhilo?
Profhilo shows very good effects on declining elasticity and first signs of ageing, on dry or thin skin and on fine lines. The face and neck are particularly suitable for treatment.
What is the difference between Profhilo and hyaluronic fillers?
With hyaluronic fillers, we can improve contours such as the jawline or even out hollows. Profhilo has a different consistency and spreads over a larger area of the tissue. The effect: improved hydration, elasticity and skin quality.
How many Profhilo treatments are necessary?
As an initial treatment, two sessions about four weeks apart are recommended, depending on your skin. At Derma Medical Clinic, we adapt each treatment individually to every patient – including the results they would like to achieve.
When will I see the result?
The effect develops continuously in the weeks following the treatment. However, you will usually see a fresh effect and a subtle glow shortly after the first application, as well as a slight smoothing of fine lines.
Can the face and neck be treated at the same time?
We can treat the face and neck within one session if you wish. As skin thickness, mobility and tissue structure differ between the two regions, we need different product quantities for each area.
Is Profhilo also suitable for neck wrinkles?
At Derma Medical Clinic, we use Profhilo for lines and fine wrinkles, rough skin and mild to moderate skin laxity on the neck. For very deep neck wrinkles or significantly sagging skin, additional procedures or a different treatment may be considered. We will advise you in detail at Derma Medical Clinic in Zurich.
What side effects can occur after Profhilo?
As with other aesthetic injections, temporary redness, slight swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur at the injection sites. Small bumps immediately after the injection are normal and usually disappear within a few hours.
Can Profhilo be combined with other treatments?
Depending on your skin condition, suitable combinations include botulinum toxin, hyaluronic fillers, polynucleotides, biostimulators or device-based procedures. We usually carry out such combinations in separate sessions several weeks apart.
