What is Profhilo Body?
Profhilo Body is a treatment with high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid that was developed specifically for treating skin laxity on the body. The treatment serves to improve skin quality, elasticity and hydration.
Which body regions can be treated with Profhilo Body?
In particular the upper arms, the abdomen and the knee area. The treatment is also suitable for the hands and, depending on skin condition and the specialist’s skin analysis, for other body regions.
How many Profhilo Body treatments are necessary?
The initial treatment at Derma Medical Clinic consists of two sessions about 30 days apart. Whether further treatments make sense depends on your individual skin. Touch-ups are recommended after a few months.
When will I see the result?
The improvement in the skin develops over a period of several weeks. You will usually see a first smoothing of the skin surface shortly after the application. Many patients also notice a slight glow, which results from the improved moisture retention in the skin.
Is Profhilo Body suitable for sagging skin after weight loss?
In cases of mild skin laxity, Profhilo Body can improve the appearance of the skin and make it look plumper and smoother. More severely sagging skin after significant weight loss, for example on the abdomen or upper arms, cannot be compensated for with Profhilo. In such cases, we advise you on alternatives.
Can Profhilo Body treat sagging skin on the upper arms?
The inner sides of the upper arms can usually be treated well with Profhilo. In some of our patients, we see significant improvements in skin firmness, hydration, elasticity and skin texture.
Does Profhilo Body help with fat deposits or cellulite?
Profhilo Body is primarily a treatment to improve skin quality. It does not reduce fat deposits. With cellulite, other changes in the subcutaneous tissue can play an important role and require a different treatment.
What side effects can occur?
After the treatment, redness or small bumps may temporarily appear at the injection sites. These reactions are usually mild and temporary.
Can Profhilo Body be combined with other treatments?
This is possible if different skin concerns are to be treated or if the skin is more severely lax. Biostimulators or laser treatments are possible options, for example. Which combination is suitable depends on the current condition of your skin and on the result you would like to achieve.
