We use botulinum toxin for wrinkles caused by muscle movement, such as forehead lines, frown lines, or chin wrinkles. The precise dosage also allows treatment of lip lines (smoker’s lines) or crow’s feet (eye wrinkles).

How Botulinum Toxin Works on the Face
Botulinum toxin affects the signal transmission between nerves and muscles. The treated muscles contract less strongly, allowing the overlying skin to relax.
We can visibly reduce wrinkles caused by movement. At the same time, the tissue forms new wrinkles less intensely, as it is no longer stressed by excessive muscle activity. The effect does not occur immediately. In the days following treatment, muscle activity gradually changes, the skin becomes progressively smoother, until the full result is visible after a few days.
Which Wrinkles Are Suitable for Treatment
Botulinum toxin is primarily suitable for expression lines—lines that form with movement, become increasingly pronounced, and eventually show even at rest. Typical areas are the forehead, the region between the eyebrows, and the lateral eye area. Other applications and specialized treatments are also possible when muscle activity plays a role.
Not every wrinkle can be treated with botulinum toxin. Static wrinkles that exist independently of movement require different approaches or a combination with, for example, hyaluronic acid or biostimulators.
